What is HEARTS for Jesus Christ?

Home Educators Alliance for Righteousness, Training, and Service for Jesus Christ! HEARTS is a cooperative community of Christian homeschooling families with children in preschool through 12th grade. Our mission is to provide educational and ministry support and encouragement to parents personally engaged in their God-given calling as the primary educators of their children at home. God helped a group of dedicated families begin this organization in 1992, and we continue as a thriving non-profit organization that serves families from all over northeast Ohio. We believe that servant leadership and relational support provides the blessing of an intentional community. The success and future of HEARTS requires the cooperation, participation, patience, understanding and grace of all families involved.

What does HEARTS offer a homeschooling family?

  • A Christian community where every family member can build friendships and support each other on their homeschooling journey!
  • Group activities that are hard to pursue by an individual homeschooling family such as choir, orchestra, drama, worship dance, gym, speech, chess club, and book club.
  • Classes that may require special expertise like art, high school sciences with labs, advanced literature, yearbook, sewing, and government. Many of our high school courses may count for high school credit!
  • Competitive, organized sports including cross country, girls volleyball, girls and boys basketball, and co-ed soccer. We compete against local schools and also participate in tournaments within the National Association of Christian Athletes.
  • Student competition in music, speech, writing, art, and more.
  • High school spring theatrical production for the general public.
